Office design for Fyndiq & CDON
I spent several months searching for a new space for my company before finally finding a warehouse on Ynglingagatan, near Hagaparken. The space had previously been used for storage and was essentially an empty shell with no existing structure, which gave me full creative freedom. In collaboration with the building owner, I was initially provided with a proposed floor plan, but I chose to discard it and develop my own. My design focused heavily on how natural light entered the space, introducing larger glass sections and incorporating glass-walled meeting rooms to create openness and flow.
I also made a conscious effort to use as much second-hand furniture as possible, sourcing pieces from antique shops, flea markets, Blocket, and IKEA, creating a curated mix that added character and sustainability to the space. The layout was carefully planned to accommodate 40–50 people within a 600+ square meter area, while still including essential functions such as a kitchen, relaxation areas, presentation spaces, large meeting rooms, and an open workspace. My goal was to create a playful and welcoming office where people would feel at home. This was reflected in the choice of materials and colors, aiming to make the environment inspiring and enjoyable to be in every day. Each meeting room was also given a theme inspired by a specific film, which I felt was a much more engaging and memorable concept than simply naming the rooms. Budget 600k SEK, timeline 4 months.
